You probably have had a subject at school you were not so good at. Then you also know that it affects not only one academically but also mentally and socially. That's why the Youth Red Cross's homework cafés work like a social space, where you can get help in a relaxed, positive and sometimes unconventional way.

The cafes are much more than homework; It's also a place where there's room to be frustrated, take a break, enjoy yourself or tell stories, and you'll be welcome even if you do not have homework.

When the big ones help the little ones
For many of the children, the classroom is a place where they have time with young volunteers who want and give a helping hand. The volunteers are somebody who may still attend school or study and therefore, school-time challenges are fresh in memory.

Sometimes we see that the children move on the grade scale. Other times they move personally, so they, for example. no longer bothered when they get up to the board or start helping the younger children with what they are having trouble with.
And that's okay. The lexicon cafés are about much more than just homework; It is about self-confidence and the belief that you can.

It is this task you are helping with as a homework assistant.

We expect

  • that you are over 18 years old.
  • that you can be at least twice a month.
  • that you are having fun with your fellow volunteers while making a difference for a lot of beautiful children.

We are looking forward to hear from you! is Denmark's leading volunteer job portal.

Volunteering is for everyone - we welcome all applicants regardless of gender, ethnicity, nationality, social background, sexual orientation or religious background.
