At the camp we offer a busy week with full of cooking, communities, new experiences and not least a lot of fun.

A little about the camp
'Stjernelejren' is a holiday camp hosted by Youth Red Cross for children and young people in vulnerable positions aged 7-13 years. At the camp approx. 40 volunteers to give 55 children and young people a fantastic summer holiday. The holiday camp takes place at a lovely boarding school in Lolland and throughout week 30, ie. July 19th - July 28th, 2019. The south is hosting a compulsory preparation weekend on Zealand (Sjælland) from April 26-28, 2019, so we can get a good team together and planned a fantastic camp.
At Stjernelejren's kitchen team, everyone is all about planning, finances and purchasing. Responsibilities are being worked on so that you can choose to work with the areas you find particularly interesting. There is a focus on the food being healthy and homemade, but with plenty of room for sweet things and fun creative touches. In previous years we have tried to make well-known food, which can still challenge the children to taste, composition and food.
Being in the kitchen at Stjernelejarn is hard work, but also an incredibly fun and rewarding experience!
How do you become kitchen volunteer?
To become a kitchen volunteer at Stjernelejren you must be 18 years old. You must feel like cooking and joining a community with the other volunteers.
The cohesion of the kitchen team is unique, and as a kitchen volunteer you can build relationships with both children, young people and other volunteers. In the kitchen at the Stjernele camp, you get the opportunity to try yourself and give the participating children and young people an unforgettable dining experience.
We are looking forward to hear from you! Greetings from Stjernelejeren
