Africa KontaKt and Landsforeningen Levende Hav jointly hold the GRO Festival for food and climate. During the festival there will be debates, talks, workshops and stalls, all of which will form the framework for two days of learning and discovering, where we together will experience existing and create new edible solutions out of the climate crisis. GRO Festival for food and climate is on the 17th (holiday) and 18th May 2019 at Havnegade in Copenhagen.

Existing food systems today have major implications for our climate, the planet and the people who live on it. Fortunately, history doesn't end here, because people all over the world work with alternatives that give decision-making back to communities and produce food in line with the natural environment we live in. At GRO Festival we want to explore alternatives and inspire and inform about food sovereignty and alternative production chains. There is a range of different tasks that you can help us with during the festival!

We are looking for volunteers like:

  • Kitchen hands

  • Runners

  • Clean up team

  • Handing out flyers

  • (Wo) manning the information tent

We offer:

  • Two beautiful and educational days at Havnegade

  • Free meal and beer or juice on your workday

  • A sprouting and inspiring community with great common interest in food and climate
