Do you want to cook with us on Thursday?

In Frydenlund Fælleshus, we are looking for one, maybe two, who would like to cook with a group of residents on Thursdays. A typical day could look like this:

- 9.30: The food truck arrives with food (you can join us here if you want)

- 10.30: morning coffee and distribution of the day's tasks

- 11.00: We cook, set the table and enjoy ourselves along the way

- 12.30: The food is ready and we eat together. It is not unusual for us to have 15-20 people for a meal, and it is super nice.

- no later than 14: the dishes are done, the rubbish is taken out and we say thank you for today.

As a volunteer in Frydenlund Fælleshus, you get:

• Opportunity to make a difference for people with different backgrounds
• The chance to fight food waste and explore food and compositions in new ways, depending on what the Food Truck has with it
• A central place in the heart of the Common House: the kitchen, where food is enjoyed and new acquaintances are developed

• Thorough introduction and sparring, but also the opportunity to make your own mark

Your background and life situation are not important to us, as long as you have the desire and energy to facilitate an inclusive community around food.

Frydenlund Fælleshus is located in Århus v, and is the base for housing social work in Frydenlund. Here is a vibrant local environment with a focus on community and good neighbourliness. There are many activities in the house every day, and we strive to have something for both babies, children, young people and the elderly. The activities in Fælleshuset are carried out by committed residents and housing social workers, who are all concerned with Frydenlund and Fælleshuset being a nice place to be.
